This policy explains how JIWIT collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use the JIWIT app and related services.

Information we collect

Account data

We process information such as your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication details, and session information to create and secure your account.

Pet profile data

We process the pet information you provide, which may include a pet's name, species, breed, date of birth or age, gender, weight, activity level, health notes, vaccination records, medication records, and weight history.

Conversations and observations

We process questions, conversation messages, feedback, AI observations, accepted pet memories, and timeline records to provide personalized responses and maintain your pet's history.

Photos and videos

When you choose to upload media, we process the photo or video and related metadata needed to upload, store, display, and analyze it. This may include the filename, media type, file size, checksum, processing status, and your AI-consent choice.

How we use information

We use this information to operate JIWIT, authenticate users, manage pet profiles, provide requested AI experiences, maintain conversation and pet history, enforce subscription entitlements, prevent abuse, resolve support requests, and improve service reliability.

AI processing

When you request an AI feature, relevant pet context, conversation content, or consented media may be sent to JIWIT's configured AI service provider for processing. JIWIT records operational details such as the provider, model, prompt version, usage, and safety metadata. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate and is not veterinary diagnosis or treatment. AI-generated observations become permanent pet memory only through the applicable owner-review and acceptance flow.

Sharing and sale of data

We share information only with service providers needed to operate the requested service, such as hosting, storage, authentication, payment, and AI-processing providers. JIWIT does not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.

Retention

We retain account and pet data while your account is active and for as long as needed to provide the service. After a valid deletion request, information is deleted or de-identified according to the applicable workflow, except where limited retention is required for security, fraud prevention, financial records, legal obligations, or backup integrity. Backup copies expire through the normal backup-retention cycle.

Your rights and deletion choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information. You may also remove individual pets, media, conversations, or other content through available product controls. Account-deletion instructions are available at jiwit.ai/delete-account. Deleting an account ends access and starts the applicable deletion workflow.

Security practices

JIWIT uses safeguards designed to protect information, including HTTPS connections, password hashing, short-lived access tokens, rotating refresh sessions, secure mobile token storage, owner-scoped access controls, and restricted operational access. No system can guarantee absolute security, and controls are represented according to their validated implementation state.
